2M Facebook fans better than Super Bowl ad, celeb endorsement … or Twitter followers

Small business owners would rather have two million engaged Facebook fans than a Beyoncé endorsement, a Super Bowl ad or two million Twitter followers.

Well, duh.

Facebook fans are the holy grail of small business, according to a recent study. In fact, 41 percent would take the two million fans, almost double the number that would prefer a celebrity endorsement or a million-dollar Super Bowl ad.

The data comes from a study of 500 small businesses by Staples which asked, in part: If a genie granted you one wish to market your company, what would you want?

6 Billion Hours of Video Watched on YouTube Each Month


YouTube recently announced that the video-sharing website created in 2005 is now was getting more than 1 billion unique visitors every month. And this week Robert Kyncl, Vice President, Global Head of Content Partnerships for YouTube, announced that these visitors "are watching more than 6 billion hours of video each month on YouTube; almost an hour a month for every person on Earth and 50 percent more this year than last."
